We've been a little quiet on the blog - but active in the movement - but we wanted to take a moment to let our dedicated SCSD teachers know that we appreciate all that you do every single day. Thank you for sticking with it in spite of the major challenges we are experiencing.
Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteThanks, We did not get anything from our administrators.

ReplyDeleteMore lies.... Also has anyone seen any of the sentries that were going to be placed in every elementary school? The superintendent said that at the last board meeting. I haven't seen a sentry at my school.
I knew it! I knew it! About 3 years ago I had a letter printed in the paper, and subsequently published in John Owens book Confessions of a Bad Teacher, calling out administrators and politicians of every stripe for their hypocrisy at Teacher Appreciation time. That very afternoon the annual garbage came spewing out of the superintendent's mouth. I figured "I guess she can't/doesn't read." You're better off without the lies or the mini-Snickers bar in your mailbox. Know that most of the parents recognize what you do, and as a retiree, I don't know how you all can continue to keep your sanity in the hell this job has become.
ReplyDeleteCan someone please confirm for me that no kid in any izone MS can sit for a Regent exam even if they feel they are ready for one? This is unacceptable and unfair to those kids who want to be ahead by a year before they get to HS.
ReplyDeleteMy guess would be that if a child was ready to take a regents in the 8th grade, their parent would not send them to an I Zone school anyway! I Zone schools used canned programs making it more difficult to challenge students.
ReplyDeleteThanks!!
