Quieter Today? Or Are We Just Not Reporting?

Perception is everything, or so we would be led to believe...

According to our official sources, Meachem School had a police call today, although we have no details. And it appears that a fight big enough to warrant a 911 call took place at Elmwood School, site of official district hearings. Hmmm...

In other news, we've heard about an object of some sort that required police attention at Grant, although not officially dispatched. And this evening a robo-call was made to Grant families with a reminder that students are not to bring electronic devices to school. Coincidence?

Any reports from your schools today?

  1. Truth Beats An Organized Lie

The Syracuse City School District Superintendent is a liar. What is a perceived escalation? GTFOH stuff is happening that is very real, children bringing weapons to school, attacking staff, staff attacking staff. You are not sharing information superintendent, your a liar, you are not equipped to fix anything, your inflated ego is one of the problems . Parents let's all stand together and fight these liars, girls get molested in bathroom from lil boys, girls fighting over other girls in school, bb guns coming into the school etc. Your superintendent is a liar and is aiding in the further breakdown of schools etc. Bringing in so called principals and others from other States and they have no clue, neither do you superintendent, stand up, support our children and support the truth. Don't be scared about retribution because you spoke up, stop being cowards.

  2. It's too bad there isn't video of these events! I'd love to see Sharon's face as the video plays live on the news. Sharon is beyond incompetent, but it's too bad the parents don't make a stand and call for her resignation.

  3. Can you please set uo a section where teachers are taunted by administrators for trying to bring order to their classrooms but principals actually discipline the teachers by claiming they have classroom management issues? Teachers are being taunted by the administrator for trying to make their classrooms conducive for learning! Of course we wont use names but the public needs to know that teachers try but get ridiculed!

  4. Does anyone know about an incident at Blodgett on or around April 10, 2013? It is my understanding that a gun was found on a student. I was surprised at the time that it didn’t make it to the media, or perhaps this is just false information. Can anyone verify? Also, if this is true were parents notified?

  5. Unsurprisingly, the Grant robo-call re: phones, etc. seems to have been a mere vocal exercise.
Case in point: Three times, I asked two girls to put away their devices, and was ignored (except for one of them flipping me off). So, I called the office to have the devices confiscated. The devices disappeared, but after ten minutes, with no one showing up to get them, the devices were out again, and on.

This is how the students come to believe that they can do what ever they want to do!

    1. I often wonder how long it would take someone of authority to get to a room if a student pulled out a gun!

  8. Anyone know anything about Webster After School Teacher and students confronted on playground by (possibly) Grant students threatening with knife? Knife turned in to administrator, did not call police.
